README
A DeepSeek provider for the adachsoft/ai-model-list SPI. It retrieves available models from the official DeepSeek API and maps them to SPI model definitions.
Requirements
- PHP 8.3 or later
adachsoft/ai-model-list0.4 or later within the 0.x line- A DeepSeek API key
Installation
composer require adachsoft/ai-model-list-deepseek-provider
Configuration
The provider factory reads the following short configuration keys:
| Key | Required | Default |
|---|---|---|
api_key | Yes | — |
base_url | No | https://api.deepseek.com |
timeout | No | 10.0 seconds |
When used with the AI Model List plugin's provider autodiscovery, configure these environment variables:
ADACHSOFT_AI_MODEL_LIST_DEEPSEEK_PROVIDER_API_KEY=your-api-key
ADACHSOFT_AI_MODEL_LIST_DEEPSEEK_PROVIDER_BASE_URL=https://api.deepseek.com
ADACHSOFT_AI_MODEL_LIST_DEEPSEEK_PROVIDER_TIMEOUT=10.0
The package includes an resources/ai-model-list.php discovery entry referenced by its Composer metadata.
API access
The provider sends GET /models to the configured base URL with a bearer token and maps each returned model to provider ID deepseek. Model capabilities are inferred from model identifiers and the API's input/output modality fields.
Tests
Run the unit test suite with:
composer test
The live API test belongs to the production group and is skipped when the DeepSeek API key is unavailable. Run it with:
vendor/bin/phpunit --group production
