Based on https://github.com/FriendsOfFlarum/reCaptcha and the Original by @sijad.

A Flarum extension. hCaptcha is designed to keep out bots, protects user privacy and rewards website owners.

Installation

install manually with composer:

composer require vbgamer45/hcaptchaforflarum

Setup

Create a site at dashboard.hcaptcha.com, then open the extension in your admin panel and fill in the site key and the secret key. Until both are set the extension stays inactive, so sign up and posting keep working as usual.

The captcha is always required on sign up. For discussions and replies it is skipped for anyone with the "Create posts and discussions without captcha" permission, which is granted to members by default.

Updating

composer update vbgamer45/hcaptchaforflarum

Development

The compiled bundles in js/dist are committed. After changing anything under js/src, rebuild them:

cd js
npm install
npm run build
