DebugKit provides a debugging toolbar and enhanced debugging tools for CakePHP 2 applications. This is a fork of cakephp/debug_kit for pieceofcake2/cakephp.

The Markdown documentation is also included in the Composer package, in the plugin's directory: plugins/DebugKit/docs/README.md (the location depends on your installer-paths). Install the package with --dev if you only need it for development.

Requirements

• PHP 8.0+
• pieceofcake2/cakephp 2.12+

Installation

composer require --dev pieceofcake2/debug_kit

Then load the plugin and add the DebugKit.Toolbar component to your AppController. See Installation for the details, including the installer-paths setting for the modern and legacy directory layouts.

This package is a maintained fork of cakephp/debug_kit (cakephp/debug_kit on Packagist, last upstream version 2.2.9), originally by Mark Story and the CakePHP community (Cake Software Foundation, Inc.). It is maintained for CakePHP 2 on modern PHP by pieceofcake2. Changes from the original are listed in the commit history since the fork.
